SWINDON Town midfielder has been named in the Football League Team of the Week.

Produced by the Press Association, the Teams of the Week features the eleven top performing players from each division from this weekend's matches.

Town's middleman scored the opener against Hartlepool United at the weekend which was his third of the season after goals against Shrewsbury Town and Walsall.

Also in midfield is alongside Leyton Orient's Martin Rowlands, who scored the winner for the O's in their win against Tranmere Rovers, while Bury's Tom Soares is also included in midfield after he netted for the Shakers away at Brentford.

Febian Brandy struck late on to guide Walsall to three points away to promotion-chasing Doncaster Rovers and he takes his place up top in the npower League 1 Team of the Week.

The pacey striker scored his fifth goal in eight games with just nine minutes remaining at the Keepmoat Stadium to keep the Saddlers firmly in contention for a Play-Off place.

Partnering the 24-year-old in the forward department is Notts County's John Cofie. The Manchester United loanee bagged a debut goal for the Magpies as they drew with Crewe Alexandra 1-1.

Bournemouth were 2-0 winners against Portsmouth at the weekend and they have three players in the XI.

In midfield, goalscorer Marc Pugh is included, while ex Town man Matt Ritchie and Simon Francis are rewarded for their respective performances in the victory.

Yeovil Town's Dan Burn and Colchester United's Josh Thompson make up the centre-back pairing.

Burn was vital in keeping a clean sheet for the in-form Glovers in their 1-0 win at Coventry City, and it was the same for Thompson, who played a key role in keeping Preston North End at bay in Colchester's 1-0 win at home.

Another U's player, goalkeeper Sam Walker, is the man between the sticks. He pulled off a number of saves to maintain Colchester's lead and ensure they picked up a morale-boosting three points.
