Foderingham nominated

13 February 2013

SWINDON Town goalkeeper Wes Foderingham has been nominated for the npower League 1 Player of the Month Award for January.

Foderingham has been in outstanding form and conceded just one goal during the month, which was in the 1-1 draw at AFC Bournemouth.

The 22-year old has made 37 appearances already this term and has been a driving force behind the club’s promotion push.

The nominations for the npower League 1 Player of the Month Award for January are:

Wes Foderingham (Swindon Town) - goalkeeper
Conceded just one goal in January. Saved a penalty against Shrewsbury Town while superb reaction stops against AFC Bournemouth and Leyton Orient preserved valuable points as the Robins went through the month unbeaten.

Rob Jones (Doncaster Rovers) – central defender
More sterling performances from the veteran, who is now also a player-coach at Doncaster Rovers. As well as being his usual commanding self at the back, he contributed to an unbeaten month with two goals, including a vital last-minute winner at Stevenage.

Paddy Madden (Yeovil Town) – striker
An outstanding contribution by the Irishman to Yeovil Town’s perfect month, scoring six of his side’s seven goals from just three matches. His stamina and desire to chase down lost causes was as pivotal as his predatory instincts in front of goal.
