GOALSCORER Adam Rooney was full of praise for the Town fans after the 1-1 draw against Preston North End.
The Irishman stepped off the bench to net the equaliser against the Lilywhites, his fifth of the campaign which helped the Robins keep up their promotion charge.
Speaking to the media after the game, he said: “It was literally my first touch and one of the lads on the bench said I’d go on and do it. I am happy with the goal and we are still unbeaten.
“I have had to keep working hard when I have been out of the team and at the minute it’s going okay for me. My attitude has always been to help the team and to take my chances.
“It was nice to get the goal in front of our home fans and we really appreciate their continued support. They came here in numbers and were fantastic.”
