PAOLO Di Canio remains determined to achieve success this term following the takeover of the club.
The manager saw Matt Ritchie leave The County Ground on Wednesday evening but is clear on the message to his squad of players.
He said: “Ritchie has gone and that has damaged the team, but we have a group of players who can still be effective for the results we want.
“I told the players this morning about the opportunity we have here but my message was clear to them. We are third in the league and have a big chance. We have games in hand on the league and there are some very big games coming up.
“The fans can feel upset – but maybe things will happen this afternoon and they will forget Ritchie a little. Saturday is our focus and that is a massive game for us.”
