FOOTBALL FOCUS

26 January 2013

PAOLO Di Canio insists he is completely focused on team affairs as the Robins prepare to take on Tranmere Rovers this afternoon in League One.

With the club currently up for sale, Di Canio has stated that his priority is helping the squad prepare for today’s top of the table encounter at Prenton Park.

He said: “My focus is on the football. I would like to have a very stable situation like last year, but the club is up for sale and the best way is to behave as a professional.

“I have inner motivation and I always try and take the positives from everything.

“It is my job to help the players keep their focus and to keep going. The players here have behaved completely professionally and for me and my staff, there is no distraction.

“Our attention is just on the game and we are looking forward to what hopefully will be a very good game of football at Tranmere.”
