PDC - Transfer Work Continues

4 January 2013

WORK is continuing to secure extended loan moves in the January transfer window, says Town manager Paolo Di Canio.

The boss told to the media on Thursday lunchtime that with the contracts of Danny Hollands, John Bostock and Chris Martin due to expire he is keen for deals to be done.

“We are trying to secure deals to keep some of the other loan players here.

“We have been working hard and perhaps we can have some news early next week. The next game after today is at Bournemouth and I would like to have a few things sorted before we go there.”

As far other players still out on loan or returning to The County Ground, Di Canio revealed there is interest in several members of his squad.

“Benson has received a very, very good offer to go somewhere. It is from a club in a very good position but we will see what he wants to do.

“Risser has an offer to go to a League Two club and they are keen to have him. It depends on what he wants to do. This would be for a permanent move, but we shall see.

“Luke Rooney is going to have some time with another club and see what happens. That would be for a loan move, but we will see what happens over the next few days.”
