PDC - Two Steps Back

29 January 2013

TOWN manager Paolo Di Canio spoke to the media after his side's draw at Leyton Orient

On the point…
We took two steps back today in terms of desire. We played for 35 minutes in the first half but we weren’t effective. Too much tippy-tappy tonight and we looked like we did at the start of the season. We have to say thanks to Wes once again for the save at the end.

On chances…
We dominated the game but didn’t look like a team that would score. Some players didn’t take responsibility. The subs didn’t help their teammates. I can blame them but I have to blame myself too. I will work with my players and make sure we know what’s going on.

On the clean sheet…
It was a fantastic save at the end from Wes and we have to thank him for the point. I am angry with some aspects of the game but we will see.

On Joe Devera…
It looks like his hamstring again and he stretched his leg and it was another injury for him. The pitch doesn’t help but we will have to deal with it.

On the transfer window…
I must make some decisions and see where we go. I want to keep going because there is a big chance here. It is not an urgent situation. If I smell some behaviour that I don’t like from some players then I will play others. There are some options in terms of players we could call upon.
