ANDY Williams take charge of the tour diary for the latest entry...
The trip away to Portugal has been a good team bonding exercise so far. Whenever you go away to a hot country it’s good to train in hotter climates. It should make life a little bit easier when we get back to England and it’s a bit cooler and you’re a bit more used to running around in the heat.
It’s been a bit different being the second eldest player on the trip. I’ve found myself given a bit more responsibility than I usually have. It’s been interesting because I’ve not been used to being one of the senior members of the squad.
With so many new lads that have come in, the integration has been quite quick to be fair. Obviously with the Spurs lads that were here before they’ve been a good link between the lads that have come in and the lads that are already here.
The lads that have come in are all of a similar age and it’s been easier to gel together and me and Wardy have also found it easy to integrate with everyone. It’s been positive and it’s definitely helped to develop us as players but as people as well.
