STFC are welcoming applicants to audition for the role of Rockin' Robin.

If you would like to step into the feathered mascot's (novelty-sized) shoes then it’s very easy to enter.

Simply film a short clip of yourself dancing along to your favourite song with what you believe should be the next pre-match mascot dance ritual at SN1 and send it to

Alternatively you could film the clip on Vine and tweet it to the official Swindon Town Twitter account, @Official_STFC

The closing date for entries is 30th June 2013.

The entries will then be narrowed down to a shortlist of potential candidates with the best entries invited to The County Ground to audition in front of an esteemed STFC Panel.

After 12 years of entertaining us with his infamous ‘Haka’, Tom Hartley will be hanging up his beak as Rockin’ Robin this summer.

Tom’s first game as Rockin’ Robin was against Peterborough back in 2001 when Danny Invincible’s last-gasp volley secured Swindon’s place in Division Two. In his full-time job as a coach with the FA, he has recently started a role looking after Skills Coaches across the Midlands region and will no longer have time to commit to the famous Robin suit. Tom will continue his work as a mascot during England internationals at Wembley when he dons the suit of one of the Three Lions.

Over the years, Tom made over 300 hundred matchday appearances as Swindon Town’s mascot, as well as numerous other functions including hospital visits, shop openings, town centre appearances, television starring roles, mascot grand nationals, a half and a full marathon – both achieving unofficial world records!

All of us at The County Ground will miss you in the guise of your STFC feathered alter-ego. Thank you for all your effort and dedication over the years – we wish you all the very best for the future.
