Time to shine

27 June 2013

MILES Storey is ready to shake off the ‘emerging youngster’ tag this season as he targets a regular run of games.

The 19-year old remains one of the younger members of the squad but having made his debut at the back end of the 2010/11 season, he is keen to make a big impact this term.

“A few of the lads have been classing me as a senior pro which is a big strange, but I am relishing the chance to stamp my authority this year and to do well,” he said.

“Last season I would have been happy playing a few games off the bench, but this season I want so much more.

“I made a good start last season but this year is a big chance for me. I want to score more goals and play more games.”

He is refusing to make public any individual targets, but is eager to give his all for the Robins’ cause.

“I will play wherever I am needed, winger or striker I will try and do a job. I used to play on the wing in the youth team so that’s something I am used to.

“In terms of targets, I just want to play as much as I can and try and impress in training to try and get a regular starting spot.”
