SATURDAY’S main match sponsors R J Osman Vehicle Service & Repairs helped cap a memorable day for a group of visitors from Canada.
The Club welcomed Tsawwassen Football Club to The County Ground for the visit of Notts County with the youngsters enjoying a pre-match stadium tour and surprise meeting with captain Alan McCormack, full hospitality and the best seats in the house.
Tsawwassen is a small ocean-front community just south of Vancouver, British Columbia, and the tour party was led by former Wycombe Wanderers player Mark Rogers, a former Canadian international and Tsawwassen Head Coach.
But it was after the game that Tsawwassen received another welcome surprise.
Match sponsors R J Osman Vehicle Service & Repairs donated their signed Town shirt – given from STFC as part of the main match sponsorship package - to the Canadian tour party as a memento of their day.
Adam Wainwright, Marketing and Promotions Executive commented: “It was a lovely gesture from Russell to donate a match shirt to Tsawwassen FC.
“The players and officials from Tsawwassen had a thoroughly enjoyable day and we must also say well done to the boys for their exemplary behaviour. They were a credit to their Club and it was great to be able to give them an insight into League One football.
“We pride ourselves on providing a family friendly atmosphere and one that is accessible to all, no matter how far you come from, young or old.”
