KM: Delighted for players & fans

19 March 2013

KEVIN MacDonald spoke to the assembled media after his side's 2-0 win at Yeovil.

On the win

Delighted for the players and supporters. They were tremendous- you can see the passion between them. Personally I think we can play a lot better. We've played better and lost. They had more possession but we had the better chances. We got a bid untidy and nervy but when we scored we kept possession a lot better and luckily enough we scored a second. These players are trying to play for the fans because they want it as much as the fans do.

On the goalscorers

I'm happy Adam (Rooney) took it (the penalty) and scored. We'll look at Notts County and decide what's best for us but we went to 4-4-2 and got the second so they can mix and match these lads. We've just got to hope Simon Ferry is ok - he's got a bit of a tight hamstring but we need as many players as possible now. (James) Collins likes to score and he doesn't miss the target very often.

On the youth players involved

I might have to have play them. They've trained with me and we took (Aaron) Ferris and (Jake) Simpson too. At the moment that's where we are. We might have to use them and I wont have any worry throwing them on.

On Man of the Match Nathan Thompson
Fantastic - I just wish he wouldn't get booked so much! He had a couple of bad tackles and he deservedly got the sky Man of the Match.
