KM: I'm disappointed

12 March 2013

TOWN manager Kevin MacDonald spoke to the media after his side's defeat at Brentford.

On the result...
I'm disappointed. We should have won the game and we had enough chances to win two or three games and it's hard to fathom how we've lost after we were so comfortable. Even when we were 2-1 down we were in the ascendancy. We just got a little bit untidy and sloppy. We should have hemmed them in and that was disappointing in many ways. The second one was sloppy. We stopped passing and allowed them to threaten us and that's the nature of the way they play

On conceding goals...
It got scrappy. We never took responsibility and started passing the ball and that was disappointing but you expect that because the home team have momentum going forward. They got a little bit of momentum and the crowd got behind them. The second goal was sloppy: we went 2-1 down and started playing a bit more direct. We created a few chances but never had the chance to get that tap in. Brentford defended very well and the ball seemed to drop to them tonight.

On the final nine games...
Its very disappointing because it's important to get the right results. We need to regroup. We've got nine games to go. It's not damaging it's disappointing and we've felt the last three game we've been in command. Yeovil is going to be very big but its a big game for them too.
