Williams: Winning return

19 March 2013

STRIKER Andy Williams is aiming for a winning return to Huish Park as he plots the downfall of his former employers this evening.

The frontman signed for Swindon after two years with the Glovers although is not expecting a rapturous reception when the two teams meet again in League One this evening. The game will be shown live to the nation on Sky Sports with the 26-year old acknowledging the progress made by his former side.

He said: “Yeovil have gone on a run and they’ve done well this season. We know what they’re about and we will have to combat that.

“The guys at Yeovil aren’t surprised at how well they have done and they are up there challenging for promotion.

“Over the last few games we have created a few chances and I have managed two goals in three games. I am sure we will create more opportunities against Yeovil. We have an intelligent group of lads here and everyone knows what is expected of them.

“We haven’t got the results we wanted in the last few games but we will be working to change that tonight.”

Preparing to return to his former side, the frontman scored 17 goals for the Glovers last season and admits he is now sure what sort of reception he will receive from the home faithful.

He added: “I am not sure what sort of reception I will get to be honest, but whatever happens I will just be concentrating on my own game.

“Everyone is entitled to their opinions but I will be doing my best for Swindon and that’s that.”
