A Fantastic Feeling

28 May 2013

FRASER Digby fondly remembers the feeling of elation when the final whistle was blown in the 1993 Play-Off Final.

Speaking to STFC Player, the former Town stopper described the build-up to the big game.

“I always remember the hotel by the Slough junction,” he said. “I always get a tingle when I drive past there now because that’s where we started the build-up.

“The big thing was the old Wembley. It’s different now. All the fans were there on Wembley Way and it was an unbelievable atmosphere.

“It was unbelievable at the final whistle especially for the lads that had played in 1990. It was a fantastic feeling.”
