COLIN Calderwood was Town’s skipper at Wembley and he believes that experience was the key to Swindon’s victory.
Speaking to STFC Player, Calderwood also described the scene when he woke up at the hotel on the morning of the game.
“It was my fourth play-off campaign (with Swindon),” he said. “I think that experience helped.”
“I remember waking up early in the morning in the hotel overlooking the M4 and already you could see red scarves coming past.
“We knew each other so well that we were able to absorb all the blows that came in the second half and come back and win.”
