Mass Frustration

4 May 2013

GOALSCORER Massimo Luongo is anticipating a tight affair at Griffin Park for the second leg, but believes his teammates have the drive and fitness to reach Wembley.

The Australian fired the Town into a second half lead before a late leveller from the penalty spot from Kevin O’Connor levelled the game up.

Speaking to the media post-match, the Tottenham Hotspur loanee offered his views on a frustrating afternoon.

He said: “We go to Brentford now on Monday and there is all to play for. The lads are up for the game and we will move on. The players have done so well all season and now we have to chance to make it through with a win on Monday. We are a very fit team and we will go again at Griffin Park.

“I was pleased with the goal. It wasn’t really a strike, I just tried to sneak it in the front post and thankfully it crept in.

“It was a bit of a frustrating game until we scored. Then we got on the front foot and the crowd were on their feet. We had chances but maybe we were made to pay at the end.”
