Over the moon

30 May 2013

HAVING penned a new two-year deal, Nathan Thompson is already looking forward to continuing his footballing journey with the Robins.

The defender has risen through the Town ranks and has now become a regular in the line-up. After winning the Player of the Season award in 2012/13 with a series of determined displays, the 22-year old is only too pleased to have extended his stay in Wiltshire.

He told STFC Player, the club’s official online TV service: “Last season was great for me. I have really enjoyed playing week in, week out and that’s what any footballer wants to do.

“I am from the area and know just how much playing for Swindon means to the fans. I am very proud to be here and made up that I am playing regularly for the club. I have been at Swindon for a long, long time and I had no hesitation in signing.

“I wanted to get things sorted as soon as possible and I am over the moon to have put pen to paper on the deal.”
