Swindon Town are pleased to announce that a three-year deal has been agreed with Ecosolve and British Seed Houses to maintain and improve the County Ground pitch in line with the existing programme. Pitch improvements ahead of the 2013/14 season started at The County Ground today.
Both partners have been instrumental in achieving the recent League One Pitch of the Year Award. STFC General Manager Steve Murrall commented: “Whilst it was a great achievement for Marcus (Cassidy) and his team to win the award on behalf of the club, we feel that it is just as important to continue the significant investment to provide a great playing surface in future years. That is why we have committed to a three-year deal with these partners.”
Bretton King, Managing Director of Ecosolve, said: “By agreeing a three-year contract for on-going refurbishments, the club has committed to working with Ecosolve for the long term and we are delighted to continue working with the Club.
“This year’s renovation will once again deliver a superb playing surface for the team and we look forward to working in partnership over the next three years.”
British Seed Houses Ltd were also delighted to have agreed a three-year contract to supply grass seed and fertiliser to Swindon Town.
A British Seed Houses Ltd spokesperson said: “We have worked closely with the club over the past four years, a period in which the condition of the playing surface has improved perennially.
“This was finally recognised this season with Marcus (Cassidy) winning the League One Groundsman of the Year Award on behalf of Swindon Town FC.”
The club would like to thank both Ecosolve and British Seed Houses for their continued support. With their knowledge, experience and expertise they will continue to work alongside Head Groundsman Marcus Cassidy over this exciting period for the club.
