Statement: Macclesfield tickets

22 November 2013

SWINDON Town have today confirmed that the First Team squad and management will provide free tickets for the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy Area Semi-Final against Stevenage, to those supporters who travelled to Macclesfield Town in the First Round of the FA Cup.

The team were extremely disappointed with the result and felt it was only fair to offer some kind of compensation to the supporters that made the long journey to Moss Rose.

Manager Mark Cooper said: “After the performance at Macclesfield, we felt it was important that we made some sort of gesture to those supporters who have been loyal and who have been brilliant supporting us up and down the country this season.”

How can I claim my free ticket?

Supporters who qualify and would like to take advantage of this will need to visit the STFC store in person by 5pm on Monday 9th December to claim their ticket. A valid ticket from the Macclesfield match MUST be presented as proof of purchase.

Why did the Club offer free tickets to another game instead of refunding the cost of a Macclesfield ticket?

The club are not able to issue refunds from the Macclesfield match due to the fact that STFC did not have control of the sale of tickets at Macclesfield and have no record of the away ticket sales information.

Tickets for the Johnstone's Paint Trophy clash with Stevenage will go on sale tomorrow from 9am. Season Ticket Holders will have their seats reserved until 9am on Tuesday 10th December.
