"We didn't match them"

MANAGER Mark Cooper spoke to the media after defeat at Preston North End.

On the performance…
I’m frustrated. We looked very lethargic for large parts of the game. The efforts of the other night took it out of us. Preston were physical and we didn’t deal with it very well. If we’d started like we finished it might have been different. We didn’t pass the ball properly. We didn’t match them and conceded two sloppy goals. You can’t do that.

On the own goal…
It’s just a comedy goal. One of them has to take control and deal with it because they’ve scored without even trying.

On a slow start…
We can’t start games at half time or after 60 minutes. We have to be ready from the start. Once we made changes we looked a different side. Elgabas came on and looked a threat and Ajose came on and looked a threat.
On the result…
We didn’t deserve a point. To play in the last 15 minutes doesn’t warrant getting a result. Full credit to Preston they’ve obviously watched us but we could have nicked a point at the end. It was a great save from their goalkeeper.
