On the result...
I thought we could have won the game. We went behind in the first half after having numerous chances. It was a really sloppy goal to concede from ourselves but I always felt as if we'd get back into it. I fancied us to go on and win it but the exertions of the game on Tuesday had taken it out of us.
On injuries...
Michael Smith was due to play but was too sore in the warm up.
On half time team talks...
(I told them to) keep playing. I thought we were creating chances - some really good ones - and it was a case of 'keep going, keep playing your football and it will come'.
On the goal conceded...
It's just an individual error. A sloppy pass and we can't recover. Young lads make mistakes and the only way they get better is by playing and learning from those mistakes.
On Connor Waldon...
He's a good player. He's a good centre forward - the best at getting hold of it and he can be pleased with his hour on the pitch.
On the break...
We've got two weeks now to get everybody rested and get our squad finalised. After that performance, I thought we could have got three. It's another game against Coventry that was a fantastic spectacle.
