CHAIRMAN'S MESSAGE
As we continue to strive for a place in the Play-Offs and on-field success, I would like to say how pleased I am with the performance of the team this season. It has been a big year of change for the Club both on and off the pitch with necessary steps being taken to bring the Club in line with a more sustainable business model and the quality on show has, I am sure, more than surpassed most peoples’ expectations.
In my vision for the future of Swindon Town Football Club, I have outlined the goal of promotion to the Championship and, should we not succeed this season, then we will be targeting a successful campaign in the 2014/15 season.
I must stress that the future of the Club is paramount and we must operate within our means. In doing so, I know that we can remain competitive as we have proved this season. We have, in my opinion, some of the best supporters in this division and our gates both home and away clearly show that your fantastic backing will be essential as we continue our promotion push.
Season Ticket prices have remained at a steady level for the past two seasons but, unfortunately, Season Ticket prices need to increase as we continue with our sustainable model. An increase of £1.09 per game will keep our prices in line with most League 1 clubs, whilst still providing great value for money. To help spread the cost of the increase, we would urge supporters to take advantage of the Phase One, interest-free, 10-monthly installment plan.
Matchday ticket prices will also be adjusted next season, with matches falling into either a Bronze, Silver or Gold category. The fixtures will be categorised once the 2014/15 schedule is released later in the year. This ticketing strategy is intended to reward fans who regularly buy tickets week-in, week-out on matchdays; over the course of the season, the figures will balance out and they are unlikely to pay any more than they are currently.
I hope that you will all continue to back this great Club and let’s all hope that the future you see will take us on an exciting and successful journey!
