STLFC In Cup Action This Sunday

30 August 2014

SWINDON Town Ladies visit Charlton Athletic on Sunday in the determining round of the FA Women’s Premier League Cup, writes Roger Reeves.

Charlton play in the Premier League Southern Division, a league above the Town and the two sides have not previously met in any competition. The Town won their opening game with a victory over St Nicholas by five goals to one but Charlton had an even better result beating Keynsham Town by twelve goals to one.

"We are all excited about the game," said manager Steve Robertson. "It will be a really big test for the girls and a tough game. Charlton are the sort of club that we want to aspire to, so we know are in for a big challenge. Having said that, it’s a cup game and cup ties have a habit of throwing up surprise results so who knows?"

The Town have no injury worries and have a full squad to select from.

SQUAD: Robyn Levett, , Laura Morgan,  Serena Smith, Beth Thompson, Lisa Coe, Sam Quinn, Michelle Rich, Chyna Collings, Alice Smith, Sarah Uzzell, Megan Attenborough, Ellie Maynard, Kelly Nightingale, Amy Baines, Sally Butterfield
