Cooper: Important To React

20 December 2014

MANAGER Mark Cooper spoke to the media after Town's defeat at the hands of Doncaster.

On the defeat...
When teams come and get everyone behind the ball, the last thing you need is to give them encouragement. The referee has made an atrocious decision - the clue is where the ball goes. We give Doncaster something to hang on to. In the second half, we had enough situations to get something out of the game - a penalty and a clear one v one. We need to score one of those but I was fine with the performance. Sometimes it happens; it wasn't our day today. We dominated possession but we don't dwell too much on it. We should be sat here having at least a point. Teams are not going to come here and make it easy for us. With the chances we had in the second half, we should be sat top of the league but we're not and we move on.

On bouncing back...
It's important how we bounce back and react to it. I've said to the players that sometimes something goes against you that you can't control and that happened today.
