Cayman Diary Continued

20 February 2014

ACADEMY Manager Jeremy Newton continues his tour diary from the Cayman Islands.

We started the day with a recovery session from the previous night. It was a hard game physically, so we had a training session in the pool, where the players went through some stretches, some light team swimming and some aqua aerobics which were led by the staff.

The day was then broken up with some free time for the players, before the afternoon agenda. The players and staff had lunch at Agua Restaurant and they looked after us in there with a lovely meal. The afternoon was taken up by one of the sponsors very kindly allowing the players to visit his attraction, Dolphin Discovery. This was an unbelievable gesture from him and gave us the opportunity to interact with the dolphins.

Swindon Town would personally like thank Mr. Dale Crighton for the kindness that he has shown in giving all the players and staff the opportunity to do this and to all his staff at Dolphin Discovery.

Later in the afternoon, the coaches, led by myself, then delivered coaching sessions where all of us took a group for some coaching clinics. Working alongside local coaches who came in to listen to the sessions and ask questions of our programme and our structure.
