MICHAEL Smith spoke of his relief after netting twice on his Town debut.
Speaking after the game, the striker was pleased to have played his part as Swindon beat Shrewsbury 3-1.
"It's great to get my debut out of the way and get two goals," he said. "3-1 flattered us in a way but happy with the three points.
"I can't remember much (about the first goal) to be honest. I'm relieved to get one on my debut let alone two. Every striker has that selfish streak and it's always nice to get off the mark but as long as the lads got three points and I could play a part in that."
Smith concluded by describing the step-up to League 1 football.
"It's not massive but the type of football played here suits me," he continued. "I may be 6'4 but I like the ball into feet. I really enjoyed it today."
