TOWN First Team Coach, Luke Williams, says that the referee made the right call in postponing Swindon’s New Year’s Day clash with Crawley.
“They know what they’re doing and they are determined to try and get the game on if it’s safe enough and if it’s going to be a realistic option,” he said. “Today it wasn’t so fair play to the referee.”
“If we’d had any let up from the rain it would have been on,” he continued. “The ground staff are very good at getting the water off the pitch and the pitch itself is well bedded in but there was no break in the rain.”
A date for the rearranged tie will be announced in due course.
