LOUIS Thompson says that Town’s achievements over the course of the 2013/14 campaign have surpassed his and the team’s expectations.
Speaking to the media before Saturday’s finale against Rotherham United at SN1, the midfielder was full of praise for his fellow teammates.
“It’s passed mine and my family’s expectations quite considerably,” he said. “To be honest, I think the whole team have surpassed expectations really.
“On the whole, 7th or 8th, wherever we finish, I think it was a great season for the boys. We got thrown together very late.
“I think we’ve mustered a bit of character, towards the end of the season especially and we’ve gone on one of the best runs we’ve been on in a while.”
