Mark Cooper spoke to the media after Town's 1-0 victory against Preston.

On the win...
I thought it was an outstanding, dominant performance. We dominated possession from start to finish and the young players showed some maturity tonight. We asked them to defend a high line and I thought it was an all-round incredible performance.

On chances created...
If you keep doing that and making the other team run you are going to get chances. The 'keeper made two incredible saves then we create a really good opportunity for 'super sub', Willo. I am really pleased with the players. They took a bit of stick on Saturday and they've shown they can defend. I was expecting a good chance but if we hadn't had won, it would have been a bit unjust. I said to the players afterwards that Preston will be in the top three come the end of the season. It's a fantastic win for us.

On Andy Williams...
When someone has that effect you're very loathe to change it but I'm sure Andy will get his opportunity to start. They (the strikers) were a thorn in the Preston defence all evening.

On defending...
The one thing I asked for is if we come under pressure we don't concede. You have to see off that pressure and weather the storm. We'd worked on keeping them out of the box.
