Cooper: FA Cup Draw 'One For The Fans'

27 October 2014

MARK Cooper says that Town's FA Cup First Round draw against Cheltenham will be one to savour for supporters.

Speaking to the official website shortly after the draw was made, the Town boss admitted that it will be a stern test for his side at Whaddon Road.

It's a good draw", he said. "It's one for the fans - they'll be looking forward to it. We'll be guaranteed a great atmosphere. It's a very tough draw because Cheltenham are a good team at home but it's a tie that will excite the fans because it's a local derby."

Cooper also revealed he was looking forward to locking horns with a former teammate in the form of Robins manager, Mark Yates.

He continued: "Mark is an old teammate of mine from Birmingham. I've known him for a long time and I speak to him quite a lot. He's done a good job at Cheltenham."
