Cooper: Lessons Learned In Defeat

7 October 2014

MARK Cooper spoke to the media after Town's 3-2 defeat at Plymouth

On the comeback...
It's done me a bit of a favour because it shows the players if they're not right and they do their own thing that's what happens in the first half. Then, when they listen and do things properly, they dominate the game. Hopefully that's reminded them that's the slap in the face round the corner I always talk about and they're back on it for Yeovil.

On the half time talk..
I didn't say much. I said to them "you've dug yourselves into a hole and you better get yourself out of it."

On team changes...
We weakened the team and gave players on the fringes the opportunity so maybe we are going to be off. It's still game time that they need to be better.

On Ben Gladwin...
I've been on to him since he's been at the club - with the power he's got in his feet he should score an awful lot of goals. He's got great ability and hopefully that could be the start of him transferring what he does on the training ground onto the big pitch.
