TOWN Manager, Mark Cooper, spoke to the media after his side's 2-1 win Newport County.

On the result...
We played well with a much-changed team. I thought we played some good football at times and it should have been more comfortable.
On attacking play...
A lot of our attacking play was very good and we had some smooth attacks on their goal. For me, it should have been a lot more comfortable.

On Jon Obika...
I think Jon will get better the more accustomed he gets to our way of playing. He’ll get plenty of chances as will Willo, Michael Smith and Connor Waldon. Competition keeps everyone on their toes.

On squad rotation...
It’s important we get through these games because it gives these players (like George Barker and Anton Rodgers) time on the pitch. These games are perfect for keeping the squad active.
