Ladies Travel To Cheltenham On Sunday

26 September 2014

ON Sunday, Swindon Town Ladies are on the road again to face Cheltenham Town in the FA Women’s Premier League South West Division One, writes Roger Reeves.

The two sides have not previously met, as last season Cheltenham were awarded promotion from the South West Regional League due to the withdrawal of the University of Portsmouth. Cheltenham have won two, drawn one and lost one and are in sixth place with four points and five places below the Town.

Manager Steve Robertson said: "We are happy to still be undefeated but we must start to get three points instead of one again. We have dropped silly points when we should have put the game out of sight. We have worked hard in training to try and put things right and hopefully we can get back to winning ways again."

The Town are without Kelly Nightingale and the injured Laura Morgan for Sunday’s game.

SQUAD: Robyn Levett, , Meg Vella,  Beth Thompson, Lisa Coe, Sam Quinn, Michelle Rich, Chyna Collings, Alice Smith, Sarah Uzzell, Megan Attenborough, Ellie Maynard, Chenise Austin & Sally Butterfield.
