Report: Chichester 0-3 STLFC

8 September 2014

CHICHESTER CITY        0
SWINDON TOWN         3

Swindon Town Ladies moved to the top of the FA Women’s Premier League Division One South West when they visited Chichester City and won by three goals to nil, writes Roger Reeves.

The Town took the lead in the 18th when Megan Attenborough’s shot from the edge of the area found the net. Michelle Rich then doubled the Town’s lead when she drove home a free kick from 30 yards out giving the opposition 'keeper no chance. Chichester thought that they had pulled a goal back just before the break but it was ruled out for offside.

Midway through the second half the home side were reduced ten players when Kally Ambler was sent off for a second bookable offence. The Town took full advantage of the extra player and Beth Thompson bagged the Town’s third with six minutes remaining.

A good result for the Town against one of the stronger sides in the league.
