MARK Cooper spoke to the media after his side's 2-2 draw with Port Vale.

On the result and the referee...
We're a bit raw because we played well tonight - our best performance of the season and we should be stood here now with three points but, in the spirit of the game, the referee’s cost us three points. I want to know why, in the context of the game, he didn't wait for our player to get treatment. We've been robbed tonight. It’s a one-sided game - we dominated from start to finish but we're unbeaten, it’s a brilliant performance and the young players are starting to click. There's a lot to be positive about.

On defensive naivity...
I’ve said to them: "you've got to make the referee make the decision. You can’t punch the ball away in the box. You’ve got to wait for the refree to make the right decision."

On taking the positives...
We got our positiiong right all over the pitch, we kept the ball for an amazing amount of time. Sometimes we had to go back and it's not easy but the players can be proud of themselves tonight and the supporters - they were brilliant. If we play like that we’re going to win a lot of games.
