SWINDON Town travel to Yate on Sunday to face St. Nicholas in a FA Women’s Premier League Division One South West League fixture, writes Roger Reeves.

While the Town were collecting maximum points when hosting Southampton Saints, St. Nicholas visited league newcomers, Gloucester City and won by four goals to one. Last season, the Town completed the double over the Bristol side but they could be hard-pushed to repeat the same result this term.

Manager Steve Robertson was pleased with last Sunday’s performance but, having set the standard, says that they will need to keep working hard in order to maintain it. "Looking at the weekend’s results there were some surprises," he added. "It is essential that we keep focused."

The Town are without Meg Vella, Michele Rich, Sam Quinn and Meg Attenborough but have Laura Morgan and Beth Westlake returning.
