Turnbull: Three Points Most Important

12 December 2015

JORDAN Turnbull admits that the three points were the most important outcome of Saturday's clash with Rochdale at SN1.

Speaking to the official website after the game, the defender says that the conditions and the visitors being reduced to ten men contributed to making life difficult for the Town.

"The most important thing is that we got the three points," he said. "We had a good first half - obviously it helped us with man getting sent off but playing against ten men we found it difficicult in the second half with conditions. We dropped off the pace a bit but three points is what we wanted.

"After a while you didn’t notice they had ten men. They pressed us well and especially in the conditions we found it hard to play at times. We may have overplayed at times but we definitely could have scored a couple more goals."

He added: "Like I've said, the most important thing was the win today. We've started a little run of games now and spirits are high. Everyone is confident and that's what we needed coming up to a busy period. Hopefully we can continue this run we’re on."
