Cooper: We Were Very Good

7 February 2015

TOWN Manager Mark Cooper spoke to the media after the win over Barnsley.

On the performance...
We were very good. We totally dominated possession of the ball, the game should have been over sooner. We understand you can miss chances and miss penalties and we a couple of hairy moments but that's how I ask the boys to play and that's why we're so good in the other half of the pitch. I accept responsibility if we give it away. All in all, it was a really good performance. On another day, we could have scored more goals.

On chances created...
We have enough chances to be comfortable. If you don't put it to bed you know what can happen. We saw it out and managed to get the second.

On the opening goal...
We worked on the short corner yesterday and it's always pleasing when it comes up. I'm pleased for Raph popping up with his second goal of the season.

On Ben Gladwin...
He responded brilliantly to the surgery. It's great to be able to take someone like John Swift off and bring someone like Ben Gladwin on. It (the second goal) made it comfortable for us.

On the midfield selection...
I wanted to dominate the middle of the pitch. I felt with the players we had available we've got an amazing amount of talent. It's difficult for teams to play against.
