Voting Open For February Player of the Month

23 February 2015

VOTING has opened for the Swindon Town Player of the Month award for February.

Link Sport has teamed up with the Robins and their lead sponsor, Imagine Cruising, to give fans the chance to pick the player they feel has contributed most to Town’s cause each month. Andy Williams won the January prize with 28 per cent of the public vote.

Vote via the homepage of the Link Sport website between now and midnight on March 3, with everyone who participates in the free-to-enter ballot automatically submitted into a prize draw to win a P&O taster cruise, courtesy of Imagine Cruising.

So far this month, Swindon have won one and lost two of their three League One encounters, beating Barnsley at the County Ground before slipping up at Oldham Athletic and Scunthorpe United.

Defender Jordan Turnbull, the club’s only ever-present, has continued to impress while Massimo Luongo and Yaser Kasim have returned to Wiltshire following their time on international duty at the Asian Cup, and goalkeeper Wes Foderingham has been busier than usual, making a number of inspired saves at Boundary Park and Glanford Park.

Town still have three matches remaining in February – against Crawley Town and Bradford City at home and away at Crewe Alexandra – so plenty of time still remains for the Robins’ players to have a big impact this month.

The award will be presented to the player who receives the most votes prior to Town’s clash with Notts County at The County Ground on Saturday, March 7.
