SWINDON Town are in Women’s Premier League Division One South West action on Sunday when they entertain Cheltenham Town, hoping to retain their place at the top of the table, writes Roger Reeves.

When the two sides met in the away fixture, goals from Ellie Maynard, Lisa Coe, Beth Thompson and Meg Vella gave the Town a four goals to one victory. The Gloucestershire side are, at present, in 8th place with eight points from nine outings.

Manager Steve Robertson said: "We looking forward to playing again after a weekend off. The girls just want to play football. We are hoping to sign another player to strengthen the squad to the end of the season."

Meg Vella is still out with a serious hand injury, Chyna Collings is also an injury doubt and with Alice Smith and Michelle Rich not available, the Town will need to make changes for Sunday’s game.

SQUAD: Robyn Levett, Beth Thompson, Lisa Coe, Sam Quinn, Ellie Maynard, Chyna Collings,  Laura Morgan, Sarah Uzzell, Serena Smith, Megan Attenborough, Kelly Nightingale, Chenise Austin & Sally Butterfield.

The game will be played at Fairford Town FC, Cinder Lane, Fairford, Glos GL7 4AX and will Kick Off at 2pm.
