The England youth international had a spell on loan at Rotherham in the Championship earlier this season and says that he is already starting to settle into his new surroundings.
“I had two sessions with the team,” he said. “I know three of the boys from England so I got on with them straight away. The lads have been great and have just made me feel welcome.
“They play very good football here. Playing football from the back to the front is great - we do it at Chelsea so I’m sure I can get into it.”
The teenager made his Town debut in Saturday's 2-2 draw at Fleetwood: “I think it was a good day to be honest,” Swift said, post-match. “I was looking forward to playing and I got the late call up to say I was starting and I was really looking forward to it.
“I thought I had a good first half and then the second half we were lucky enough to get two goals but it took time to get back into the game. The team was excellent to get back into it.”
