MARK Cooper spoke to the media after victory at Port Vale.

On the result…
I need a couple of stiff drinks after that. It was end-to-end, we started really well and could have put the game beyond them. I felt we defended really well and we had to. All you can say is we’ve kept another clean sheet.

On the opposition…
It’s pleasing (the result) when we knew Port Vale have a real physical threat. We know they put a lot of balls in the box, we knew we’d have to defend and you could see we’ve done a lot of work on it.

On chances and defending…
The chances at the end we’ve had, we have to finish them off to put the game to bed. Credit to Port Vale they kept going, this has always been a difficult place to play. When we defended and got out we gave the ball away and turned it into a basketball match.

Looking ahead…
It’s about us. We’ve got to keep going. Nothing’s changed for us, we’ve just got to keep winning.
