MARK Cooper spoke to the media after Town's 2-1 win at Bramall Lane.

On the result...
For 20 minutes we struggled with Sheffield United's intensity. They came out strong and the crowd got behind them. After that we were outstanding, we played some brilliant football in a real pressure cooker atmosphere. I'm proud of the players but it's only half a job done. We know we’ve got work to do.

On the performance...
I know weve come to a real cauldron, a fantastic arena and put on a performance that people up and down the country will be talking about and when the result goes with it, it's even more pleasing. It was important that we stuck to our principles but in the end we came through.

On the equaliser...
It was a brilliant goal. It was a great run from Sam and a great header. He was outstanding tonight - just his calmness and experience really helped the young boys through.

On the winner...
We never settle for a draw. We felt there was space for Nathan Byrne and the game had opened up. We wanted to get another goal. We’ve got a remarkably tough game to come and we know we have to be on our guard.
