STLFC Held By Keynsham

2 November 2015

SWINDON TOWN - 1
KEYNSHAM TOWN - 1

The Town hosted Keynsham Town and shared the points in a FA Women’s Premier League Division One South West game at Barrington Park, Shrivenham, writes Roger Reeves.

The visitors, who were having the better of the play, took the lead in the 12th minute when Leanne Lapham knocked in Pilar Garcia’s cross. Town gradually got into their stride and had a chance to draw level when Abby Piction was brought down in the box but Keynsham 'keeper Colette Bell saved well to push Chenise Austin’s spot kick out for a corner.

The Town started the second half the stronger but chances were few and far between and Colette Bell in the Keynsham goal was proving difficult to beat. However in the 74th minute, the side were level when Sam Quinn drilled home Beth Westlake’s corner.

A hard-fought point for the Town but they have dropped to third place in the league.
