Vigouroux on Fleetwood Test

20 November 2015

LAWRENCE Vigouroux says that a win at Fleetwood tomorrow will show that Town have turned a corner following their recent run of form.

The on-loan Liverpool stopper will visit Highbury for the first time on Saturday and admits that Swindon can't rest on their laurels after registering their first home win since the opening day of the season against Scunthorpe last weekend.

"I’ve never been to Fleetwood," he told the official website. "The boys are saying they didn’t win there last year so it will be a tough place to go.

"If we can get a win there it will just show how much the group has turned around and how confident we are going into the games before Christmas."

He added: "(The morale) wasn’t bad when we weren’t winning. Now we’ve got a win we can go into Saturday knowing that we’ve got three points but that’s not the end, though. We’ve got to go and try and win again on Saturday."

Reflecting on the win over the Iron, Vigouroux says that Town deserved the three points.

"It was very important," he declared. "It was good for us to get three points after a long time without winning and I thought we deserved it. We played really well in the early stages of the second half and defended really well towards the end so we deserved the result."
