BEN Gladwin believes that Town’s performance to earn a point against Coventry had been coming after a run of successive defeats in league and cup.
The on-loan QPR man hauled Swindon back into the game when they were 2-0 down before Nicky Ajose struck in injury time with a penalty to salvage a 2-2 draw for the home side.
The point keeps Town second from bottom in the League 1 table but the midfielder says that atmosphere in the dressing room remains as positive as it has been.
“It’s been coming for last two games,” he told the official website. “The performances have been a lot better and we’ve dominated the ball a lot more.
“It’s good for me (to score) – I’ve played a couple of games so it’s about time I scored a goal. The boys were finding me in the ‘hole’ all game and I’d had a couple of shots but it just came into me, I saw it open up after I chopped and just hit the back of the ball.
“The atmosphere is good really good. It wasn’t ever really too down to be honest. From the outside people might think there’s a bit of a crisis but I think we all knew in there that we’re going to be alright.”
