Byrne Completes Wolves Move

1 September 2015

NATHAN Byrne has completed a move to Wolverhampton Wanderers for an undisclosed fee.

The winger has put pen to paper on a three-year deal with the Championship side.

Byrne initially joined up with the Town on loan from Tottenham Hotspur towards the end of the 2012/13 campaign and played in Swindon’s Play-Off semi-final defeat to Brentford. Later that summer, he moved to Wiltshire on a permanent deal and proved to be a versatile member of Mark Cooper's squad over the course of 2013/14.

Last term, he made the role of right wing-back his own, contributing four goals and weighing-in with more than his fair share of assists as the Town reached the Play-Off final at Wembley. He kicked-off 2014/15 with an impressive second-half hat-trick against Bradford on the opening day and leaves SN1 with over a century of appearances in red and white to his name.

Everyone at Swindon Town would like to thank Nathan for his service to the club and would like to wish him all the very best in his future career.
