Cooper: We've Got To Get Back On It

28 September 2015

MARK Cooper admits that his side have to ‘get back on it quickly’ starting tomorrow night at Doncaster Rovers.

Town have lost their last three games in League 1 and travel to a Rovers side that are also winless in their last three outings since parting company with Paul Dickov at the start of the month.

“The players are looking forward to the game tomorrow”, he told the official website. “I didn’t think we played that badly on Saturday. We deserved something out of the game but didn’t take our chances. Now we’ve got to get back on it quickly and get a win on the board.

“Obviously Rob Jones, who is caretaker, has been there under the previous manager and they’re playing a pretty similar way. He’ll be trying to get the job and will be making sure his players work hard for him to give him that chance.”

He added: “We got a late win there last year - Jon Obika came off the bench and got us a good victory so it will be good to get a similar result tomorrow.

The manager finished by revealing that Louis Thompson is an injury doubt ahead of tomorrow’s clash.

“Wes Thomas pulled his hamstring so we’re trying to discover the extent of that and Louis Thompson has a dead leg so we’ll see how that is tomorrow,” he said. “No Nathan Thompson either, of course, but other than that, everybody else is fit.”
