THE collection held for Swindon Robins speedway rider, Darcy Ward at Town's fixture with Burton Albion last weekend raised £2,300.

The club would like to thank supporters for their contributions to the total which has been donated to the Darcy Ward Foundation.

Robins boss Alun Rossiter told the speedway club's website: "Everyone here would like to thank the Swindon Town supporters for their generosity - it really is a great effort to raise such an amount.

"This money will go straight to Darcy and will go a huge way to helping him in his rehabilitation and we really cannot thank everybody at the football club enough."
